The Saint Edward Brotherhood was established at Brookwood in 1982 to prepare and care for the Church in which the sacred relics of Saint Edward the Martyr are now enshrined. A small monastic community chants the services of the Church daily at the Shrine, and their numbers are augmented on Sundays and feast days by a number of Orthodox believers of many different nationalities.
The monastics support themselves financially by candle and incense making and bookbinding. The Brotherhood also administers the Orthodox Aid Fund through which it makes donations to church, humanitarian and environmental causes throughout the world. Last year (2016) the amount raised was over £16,000 all of which was given to charities other than King Edward Orthodox Trust Co. Ltd which administers the property. To donate to the Orthodox Aid Fund, please make cheques payable to 'Saint Edward Brotherhood' and send them to the Brotherhood address.
KEOT Co. Ltd. is a registered charity and donations can therefore be 'gift aided' by donating online via the Charities Aid Foundation secure portal (below).
