Visitors to Saint Edward Brotherhood are welcome, but we ask you to phone or email us beforehand as this will help us to arrange our schedule. The best time to phone is between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. We ask you not to phone after 9:00 p.m. (unless it is urgent), as we are then retiring for reading, prayer, and rest. We are unable to answer the telephone whilst church services are in progress.
The Saint Edward Brotherhood is dependent solely upon the freewill offerings of the faithful and of friends. We invite you to help us by sending donations to the above address. All who contribute more than £10.00 will receive the Brotherhood's monthly magazine The Shepherd.
We need your help. The existing monastic house, which serves as living quarters for the monks, work area, and parish hall, is no longer adequate for all these purposes. Full planning permission has been granted by Woking Borough Council for a New Monastic House that has been designed to harmonise with its historic surroundings and will provide basic accommodation appropriate to the simple monastic life. Find out how you can support the Saint Edward Brotherhood Building Fund, and see photos of the construction here.
Readers may be interested to know that they can now donate to King Edward Orthodox Trust Company Ltd online by visiting the following internet address www.AllAboutGiving.org. Although for many readers and parishioners cash or cheque donations will remain a convenient means to support the charity, it is hoped that the online service will encourage donations from other charities or individuals who are, at the moment, without information about our charity's aims and details. Donations by cheque may be sent to the Brotherhood postal address, made out to King Edward Orthodox Trust Co Ltd. If you are an UK tax payer, please ask for a Gift Aid form, as we can then reclaim the tax that you have already paid on your donation and thus increase its worth.
Hand-dipped candles and incense for home use are available from the Brotherhood, which also provides a bookbindery service.
Grave spaces in the Orthodox Cemetery at Brookwood are available for Orthodox Christians and their spouses, and are presently priced at £300 for a single space and £500 for a double space. Fuller details are available from the Brotherhood on request. Please write giving your full name and address, and the name of your parish church. All cheques should be made payable to King Edward Orthodox Trust Company Limited.
